20:51 Monday evening
Well, the kittens are 13 weeks old today. And 3 of them are now settled into their new homes, so there are only 2 little monkies running around here now. A few other big monkies thought, taking great delight in stealing kitten food!!
On Friday, Merri and Ella made their big journey to their new home. From all the lovely e mails I have received, they are happy and settled and being good babies. using the litter trays, eating, playing and purring. so I am very proud of them, and very grateful to Sue and Paul for making them feel so very welcome. At the end of this little entry, there are some photos of Merri and Ella that Sue has mailed to me. Then on Saturday afternoon, dear little Sapphi made her way home with Jane and Tim, to meet the lovely Arwen ( one of our babies from a few years ago), and another Lily.
She seems to be doing very well, despite the initial, expected hissing. She seems to have won the hearts of her new mummy and daddy, and she is being everything I had hoped she would be for them. I am always hugely grateful to Jane and Tim, for the wonderful home that they have offered to Arwen, and now I am very happy, that a second baby of mine, is going to have the same love.
Jane has mailed some photos, which will be posted at the end of this message.
I think it is time to sign off this diary now. Dilly is still with us, she leaves us in just under 3 weeks now, so Scarlett, our little girl, still has a smaller buddy to play with. I had forgotten how big the adults in this house were, until I saw the kittens running around with them in the outdoor cat run.
It has been a pleasure to bring these babies up, and a pleasure to see them settled with their new families.
Yes, I missed them, and yes I sneaked a few tears when no one was looking, after they had gone. And I did a marathon 5 hours of gardening on Saturday, to take my mind off things!
But I am proud of them, I am proud of their new families for being so loving, I am proud of my children for helping to raise such sweet cats, and I would like to say thank you to all those people who have been there to support me, when I have needed it.
Especially to Gill, who owns the daddy to these babies, I would like to say a big thank you to her, for always being there when I have needed to shout , help!
I will sort out the photos now, of the babies in their new homes, and thank all of you who have been here to read the entries.
