Day 34

19:34 Saturday evening
Everyone is asleep at the moment. Lily and the babies are in the wicker basket in the bathroom, by the radiator. I like them to sleep in it at this point, as it is the travel basket that I will also be taking them to the vets with, when we have to go for vaccinations etc. I find that they are quite relaxed going, as they are in their little bed anyway, and it is not strange for them. It is a big basket, so there is plenty of room for them and Lily.

It is hard to believe that they will be 5 weeks on Monday. Golly, how that time has gone past. And how they have grown. They have not been so keep on the eating front today, so I don't feel so chuffed with myself. They have been feeding off Lil. They were desperate for breakfast first thing, but since them, not heaps of interest.

They have been brilliant using the litter trays though, I am so chuffed with them for this. Not one accident today! At this rate, they will soon be running across the landing, although I will have to make it kitten proof first, as I do not want them to fall from the landing. I will need to think about this tomorrow.

They have just woken up, so I must break for now, and go and see to them..........

Phew, they are lively at the moment, I am tempted to let them have a run on the landing soon, or at least a small part. Maybe tomorrow we will make the landing safe for them. It is a long drop and I don't want them falling off to the hallway below.

20:55 They are slowing down now. Lil is grumbling because she wants them to go to sleep, so I have turned the light down, and put them in the basket with her, although by the sounds of it, there is still one awake. I will sign off now, as I want to go and sit with them until they settle down. It will probably be still photos again today, as I had so much trouble trying to upload the last clip.

Day 33

21:16 Friday Evening
I am excited to say, that I have not got them to eat some cooked cod, as well as their milky mix. I have offered them some cat food, but so far they are not interested, but not many of my cats are!!! Gollum and Fluffy are the only ones that eat wet cat food, and that it the Whiskers 'Oh so meaty'.

I gave them a couple of 'spiders', these are the pipe cleaner spiders, and they have been playing with them.

They are still a really cuddly bunch. Skippy is a bit of a fidget, but she has such personality that I love her.

Lily is spending more time out of the bathroom now, which is good, as it will prepare her for when I open up the bathroom and the kittens have the run of the landing. We had a couple of toilet accidents today, so they are not ready yet. But on the whole, I am really chuffed with them and the litter tray.

Defintely 3 Chocolate points here. 1 boy and 2 girls. Rappy is not tabby, so I am not destined for that Choc Tabby. Skippy, I can't decide, her tabby points don't seem as pronounced now, so I am wondering if she is Lilac. The last girl, I can't quite decide!

I couldn't upload the video clip last night, or this morning, so I am uploading it now, and it should be posted at the end of this diary clip. You will see Tim in with the babies and Lily.

Day 32

21:13 Thursday night
I am totally chuffed at how they are all seemingly using the litter tray, and predominantly the one that Lily is using, which is the larger one. You can see it in the video clips. I have never had this achieved so quickly before, and I have not really had to even put one in the tray to show it, they seem to have just got the hang of it. I suppose it shows the difference between trying to train them with wood pellets and Cat Attract. It has certainly proved itself with Lil. Maybe that is also why they are using the tray, because for once, she is showing them the way!

I just need to get their eating on the go now. This always seems to take a while, and they were all taking some interest in the finely chopped chicken that I put out for Lily this evening. And I am still giving them their milky mix, only now I am mixing in with it, some pureed kitten cat food. I want to try to raise kittens this time, that are not so fussy, especially after Carrie last year!

You can see them in the video clip for today. They are pretty lively now. They are all used to being handled a lot, we always try to make sure that someone is sitting in with them when they are awake. If they carry on this good with their litter training, by the end of the weekend, they can have some of the landing. This is good, because it should also coincide with the 'opening' of the adult cat's outdoor run. I am really looking forward to that, and I will probably include a video clip of their first ventures outside.

I weighed them all today, and young Skippy is the smallest, but what she lacks in weight, she makes up for in personality! Merrily ( as he has now been called), the boy of this bunch, is the largest. Rappy is the second smallest, with the other 2 girls in the middle.

All is quiet now, as kittens and adult cats are asleep. Percy is out for his night time stroll before bed. The one thing I have noticed this time, is that I am getting to bed earlier, or at least, organised earlier for bed, than with previous litters. That is probably tempting fate, as , as soon as they are out of the bathroom and zooming around, I have a feeling that will all change............

Day 31

09:46 Thursday morning
Well, I am pleased to announce, that they are gradually using the litter trays in the bathroom. They are preferring to use the bigger tray that their mum uses. This is the first time that Lil has actually used the litter tray in their room, normally preferring to run off to one in another part of the house. Which is probably why I have had to spend so much time teaching them. It does seem to be the Cat Attract that is doing it, and if Lil is using it, then it really does live up to it's name! We had 2 little solid offerings in the tray. Tim was sat in with them at the time, and he excitedly called down to me,
'Mum ! 2 of the kittens have just gone to the toilet in the tray, and they did it all on their own, they dug a little hole and now they are covering it up'. He was soooo excited that they have done this. Bless him. I was dead chuffed that they had done this also.

All was not perfect though, as I stupidly left their little box, that they play in, next to the litter trays last night, and yes, guess what, there was a large pool of kitten wee in it this morning...........so it had to go out.

I really don't shut the bathroom door now. The 4 adults don't go in there, they are far too 'scared' of all the squeaking. And Lil seems quite relaxed about things now.

The next hurdle will be allowing them onto the landing. That is when they will all have to become better acquainted with one another. It makes me laugh as I remember last year, when I first let G's kittens out on the landing. Although Lil had been used to seeing and sniffing them, she was still 'scared' of them when they were running around the landing........she would run down the stairs grumbling as a tiny kitten chased her. They really are funny.

They are slowly eating, but I wish I could put in their food, whatever is in this cat litter.........I wish someone would devise a recipe for weaning kittens that was also a food version of Cat Attract........

we have reached the stage where my legs are covered in scratches.......my own fault, what other silly twit sits in with young kittens, with shorts and sleeveless t shirts on, that really is asking for trouble. But I get so hot running up and down stairs, that I find this more comfy ( apart from when they are hanging of my sore skin!)

Little boy, defintely Chocolate, Little Skippy, defintely Tabby, Rappy, defintely chocolate, and the other 2 little girls, I believe we have another Chocolate and a Caramel. They are all sweet and loving, apart from Skippy, who is loving and a bit monkey!!!!! :)

I have a video clip from last night, where Tim was helping to feed them, which I will post later today.

My poor children are looking tired and un cared for in the mornings. I just don't have the time to keep chasing them up, so they are having to be more independant when it comes to caring for their appearance, but the result is, they are going to school, yawning and not very clean!!! Large amounts of mud on Tim's shoes this morning made me embarrassed, and I went into Tim's room at bedtime last night, and was horrified, it resembled a land fill site. Tim told me that he like it like that, I told him that at the weekend, drastic measures were needed to sort it out!!!

Day 30

Tuesday night 22:16
I sit here tonight, really tired, as I was late to bed last night, and tonight has been a busy night again. My fingers are typing, but I think my mind is drifting off to sleep. I have got organised tonight, and the house is totally quiet. Lil and the kittens are asleep, the 4 others are also asleep, I have done the litter trays, Percy has been fed and medicated, bunny is ok, the boys are asleep, and I cannot remember the time that I had done all this by this time of night!!!!!!!! Quite an achievement!

And tomorrow is my birthday.............................although it will be just another normal day, life goes on as normal here, birthday or not birthday!!!! But maybe I will sneak an extra cuddle in with the babies.

I really want to thank Richard and Timothy, for all the time that they are spending with the kittens. They have been so very good and so very helpful to me.

Wednesday morning 09:21
Diaries are about my life, so I suppose I should just write, that I am a little sad, this morning, as even though I don't do anything special for my birthday, neither Tim nor Rich remembered, just 2 little words, Happy Birthday, so I am needing to lift my spirits a bit. So apologies if this entry starts to sound low key.

The cats are all happy, Carrie, Gollum, G and Fluffy are asleep in the sun on the bed settee to my left, Lily is sleeping with her babies. Percy is asleep in the sun in the lounge, and bunny has her heat pad.

We have had a few little kitties using the cat litter, which is great. The Cat Attract is brilliant, they really like it, trouble is some of them like it too much, and I have to stop them eating it..........it is also the first time, that Lil has used a litter tray in their room, to show them what to do, so it goes to show that it is good cat litter!!! Albeit expensive.

It is time that I updated you on colours.

Well, my little ( or not so little) boy is Chocolate, and at the moment, he is the only kitten that does not have a home, so he is looking for someone to love him.
Skippy ( who is a little terror!!!!!!!) is defintely Tabby, she is almost looking pale enough to be Lilac Tabby.
Rappy, whom I had hoped would be Choc Tabby, is looking solid Chocolate also.
One other little girl I think is Chocolate
and the last is Caramel or Lilac.

So no Chocolate Tabby for me!!!

They all have really sweet personalities, apart from Skippy, who is a delight, but she is such a monkey!!! She is adorable, and attention seeking, but a very determined little monkey, but we love her. LOL, that probably means we will keep her, to add to the little monkeys we already have. She is cuddly, but she is going to be very naughty when she grows up!!

I have not taken any photos yet, but yesterdays video clip is now posted, so you can have a giggle with me when you watch it. I will try to get another one later on today.

Day 29

Tuesday morning 09:36
Well, I am struggling to keep up with diary entries due to lack of time. With the boys off to scout camp at the weekend, it meant I was on my own, with less time to be on the computer, and the driving to collect and take them, and last night they were at scouts again, so more time taken out.

But Rich and Tim are invaluable to me at the moment. I really do need them to help me with the animals, and they are really rising to the occasions and helping me out.

Yesterday, I had to move them out of my bedroom. I was sad about this, as I loved having them there. But they were taking flying leaps at the kitten box and hauling themselves out and onto the bedroom floor. I don't mind them running around, but I do need to get them used to the litter trays, and I don't want them into the habit of toileting on carpets.

So , I carried everything into the bathroom, much to Lil's protests. As I was carrying babies into the bathroom, she was moving them back into the bedroom. So in the end, I put them all in the wicker carrier basket, and took them all together.

They now have half of the kitten box, and the basket and the very large mouse to climb on.

The bathroom is not huge, but with the flooring, I can keep it clean and hygienic for them, and if they wee on the floor it does not matter, as I just wipe it up. At the moment they are still pretty much using their bedding. But they have shown a lot of interest in the Cat Attract cat litter, unfortunately they seem to like to eat it.....................and little Skippy ( who is a lively little monkey) likes to walk all through her milk food, and then the cat litter, and so we have to clean off her little paws, as she is in a right mess!!!

When they wake up, they all just scream for me, or maybe the food I give them. When I have written this, I am going to go and open up the door ( I shut it when I drive the boys to school, or am out of the house, just to keep them safe), and say,

'hello everyone.........' and I expect to be greeted with a chorus of very noisy kittens, who will say, 'feed me and feed me now'. And Lil will curse me, as I have run out of tuna cat food, and she wants some. She was cross with me this morning as I could not give her her favourite breakfast. I will get some when I get to Tescos later on.

Golly, I am tired though, and this evening I have to go to Richard's school for an Options evening So when we get back, rather than being a responsible mum and getting my children to bed, I will be drafting them in to help me with the animals, all 3 of us were bleary eyed this morning!

Rich and I took some good video clips of the kittens in the bathroom last night, but I am too tired to transfer them to the pc now, I will try to do them later today. If not, please check tomorrow morning, and the clips should be attached by then. You can see them scaling the large mouse we have, and I believe some embarrassing commentary from me, as I was giggling away in the back ground!!

Day 27

21:45 Saturday night
I did not put in an entry today. I had to take Tim and Rich to scout camp in the New Forest, and I did not get back very early last night. And I had the place pretty much to myself today, so I confess that I spent my time, sleeping, and when needed, feeding and cuddling cats! just did not worry about doing anything else!

But my gosh, how these kittens have changed since I last wrote!

They have really grown up, and one thing I will say, is that they are NOT quiet!!!!!! Phew, when they wake up, they SCREAM at me!!!! I am not sure what they are saying, but I get the message, that they want ME !!! And they want me there NOW!!!

Lily gets really stressed at this point, and jumps out of the box, and pleads with me.........or maybe she is telling me that now they are awake and noisy, they are MINE!!! She stands back, and sits and grumbles at me, as I cuddle them, play with them, feed them, and generally keep them happy. This seems to be happening almost on the hour every hour at the moment, so I confess, I am tired, I am very tired. But on the plus side, I have only had to care for the cats today, as the boys are away. Although, on another note, I have really missed the boys, because with them away, I don't have anyone else to help out, so I have to try to be in lots of places all at the same time.

I have sorted out the bathroom now. I have scrubbed down the part they are allowed in. Moved furniture ( oh help, they have just woken up!), and they have been allowed a couple of 10 minutes run around in there ...................

I will have to break off here, as they have woken up, and they are calling for me !!!!!

Skippy has come to join me on the keypad..........She is squeaking, and looking at the bright light of the screen. She is quite pale in colour, and defintely tabby, and in my dreams, I am hoping that she may actually be Lilac Tabby, instead of Caramel, which would be great. She is such a character, and I suspect she may stay here......I think she is going to be too naughty to let go anywhere else, she is FULL of personality!!! It is a shame the boys are not here, as you could see her little face watching the words as they come up on the screen! Bless her.

Sadly, little Rappy is looking more solid Chocolate than tabby, so it looks like that Choc Tabby is going to evade me yet again! But little Rappy is still really sweet.

I do think I have more Chocolates than anything else, maybe all apart from Skippy. I thought I was sure, until I put them in the bathroom today, and suddenly in the bright light, they looked different. I think I am going to have to get a second opinion here. They are almost 4 weeks, and I am still confused, which is not good!!! Normally I have a reasonable idea by now.

Their weights are going well, and they are eating well. I am SO happy with them all, and as I have spend so much time with them, I have really bonded with them. They really are cuddly, and love being handled. could quite easily spend all my time with them.

With the 2 times they were allowed in the bathroom, the 4 adults in the house ( G, Fluffy, Carrie and Gollum) are really not sure! It is quite funny really. They will get used to them, but I wont be leaving them unsupervised with the older cats for a while yet. I am going to sign off now, as I have to get up early tomorrow to go and get the boys from Scout Camp in the New Forest, and I have to have all the animals sorted and settled before I leave. I think I may actually settle Lil and the babies in the bathroom while I am out, and shut ( actually I have to lock it as she can open it) the bathroom door. Then I wont be worried about digging them out from under the bed on my return!!! And they can have some of the scratching toys.

Bless them, I love them all!!!

Day 25

22:04 Thursday night
It has been a busy day today, due to the fact, that the 'Wannabies' are sooo lively. When they wake up, they want ME , or if I am not here, they want the boys. The all stand at the side of the box and YELL !!!!!! They don't want to just be left to wander in the box and explore, they don't want to be put on the bed to run around, they want to be cuddles, stroked, or just to feel they are not being ignored.

It was lovely today, while they were awake, to lean into the box, and let them play with my hair, to tickle their tummies, they are just so irresistible.

Lily is awake at the moment, as I am tapping away. I whisper when I talk to her, because I know if I start to talk with my normal loud voice, they will all come hurtling out of the inner part of the box, where they are now sleeping, and I will have to entertain or feed them. They have had lots of feeds today, again, the smaller ones eating more.

Richard has spend a bit of time sitting in the box with them, the video clip today is of Rich in the box with them. It is so lovely to see him. He is 13 and it is a good thing to see a boy of that age, enjoying such tender times with such beautiful animals. Both Richard and Timothy are away on a Scout Camp this weekend, and I , and the cats, are really going to miss them, the house is going to feel horribly empty. I am quite dreading it. My children really are such a help bringing up these babies.

Lots of little Chocolate noses now, with one little girl, who is either Caramel Tabby or Lilac Tabby. I have called her Skippy......I know, a bit sad, but I love it, and it really does suit her. I grew up when the television program 'Skippy' was on the television, I will always remember that kangaroo!!!

The weekend is almost upon us, which means getting ready to move them. As soon as they are big enough to get out of the box, I have to move them. The Cat Attract cat litter arrived today, so I am all equipped for the litter trays. I am optimistic this time, that it will be a quick and easy process ( that is sooo tempting fate!!)

Lil has been out of the room for 5 minutes now, her babies are sleeping. I want her to spend more time out of the room, to prepare her for moving her kittens. She does worry, and does rely on me to reassure her. I love the relationship that we have together. After losing Razzle, I never thought I would feel such a bond again, but Lily has worked her magic on me. When we are working together ( she has just come back in) with kittens, we seem to instinctively understand one another.

10:07 friday morning
What a start to the day. young Skippy is becoming quite a character around here, let me summarise.......
04:50 I am woken by a very noisy Skippy, who is running around the box, letting everyone know she is awake.
This goes on for a while, Lily is grumbling at her, telling her to go back to bed.
Lily has enough, picks up Skippy, and puts her under the bed. Lily gets back into her box with the others, looks at me, says something, which I suggest was along the lines of,
'well, she was too noisy, she had to go', then snuggles up with the other kittens.
Meanwhile Skippy is running riot under my bed, cue me to get up and fish her out.
I put her back in the kitten box, she carries on running around being a menace.
I eventually give up, take Lil out with me, and go to prepare the kittens some breakfast. Carrie yells at me, she wants some.
I negotiate Carrie as I try to walk up the stairs.
I go into bedroom, to find that Skippy has found her own way out of the box, and is leaping around on my bed.
Phew............I feed her, she is still noisy and very active. Time to call in reinforcements............Tim!!!!!
Peace, he sits in the box with them, and Skippy curls up on his lap and goes to sleep.............
And sleep is exactly what I am going to indulge in for an hour, before getting my children's things, and animals sorted, before driving the boys to their scout camp.

Day 24

Wednesday evening 21:37
I have managed to develop more of a routine today, with feeding the kittens. Yesterdays video clip, showed what happens if I just let them loose on the food. It is funny to watch, but does not get them fed! If I am not filming, I tend to take them 2 at a time, they will then take some food from the spoon and then move onto the plate where the rest of the mix is. All of them have eaten at least 3 times today. I would say, that the smaller of the kittens are eating the most at the moment, quite tucking in! Which is good to see.

You will have seen from the video clips that they are becoming quite lively. They have become even more lively since the clip this morning. I took a clip this evening of them playing in the kitten box. You can see some of them play fighting with one another. They are yelling to be taken out of the box, so I often let them run over my bed. Lil will sit and watch, mumbling away to me. We are most defintely taking care of this nursery together! She asks me for help, when they are too boisterous and she does not know what to do. When they are wide awake, and running around, she likes me to sit in the box with them, and her. Then they start to climb over me, and she is happy and calm because she knows I am looking after them.

Making their milk up is becoming difficult. Just HOW does Carrie know I am doing it. I put the radio up loud, and work as silently as I can, and yet, no sooner has the kettle boiled and I have picked up the box of baby rice, she is there, by my feet yelling!!! And she yells outside my bedroom door while I am feeding the kittens!

Thursday morning 10:26
You would have laughed this morning, as I did. I slept through my alarm clock, being late to sleep again. I was awoken by Lily nuzzling my ear, she had obviously heard the alarm. The kittens were asleep, so I whispered to her to be quiet, and I carried her out with me, to prepare everyone's breakfast.

When I went upstairs with the kitten milk (followed by a howling Carrie), I went quietly into the bedroom, with Lil, and then said in a very bright and breezy voice,
"wakey wakey everyone, breakfast"
Immediately, 5 eyes sprung open, 5 little bodies leapt up and 5 not so quiet voices started yelling........really yelling. I laughed, Lil looked at me and said, 'do something mum'.

They were so funny in the way they all woke up when I spoke to them, and then I got them to tuck into some breakfast, one at a time, so I could make sure that they all had some. I make sure the 2 smaller ones eat first, although they are slowly becoming not so small.

I have given up trying to correctly predict these colours, I have never been so confused!

I have given up trying to correctly predict these colours, I have never been so confused! Defintely 3 chocolate noses, defintely one tabby girl, either Lilac or Caramel. And I think the other is a Caramel girl. I am going to leave it another week, by then I should be able to be a lot more definite.

I am uploading last nights video, which I took while they were leaping around in the kitten box. Almost time to move them out. As I have mentioned, both Tim and Rich are at Scout camp this weekend, so I have lots of time to myself, a good time to start to move them. I am really going to miss having them in here with me at night time. I have become very attached to this little lot. Last year, I called the little ones, 'sausages', this year, my name for this group is, The Wannabies. They wanna be free !!!

Day 23

21:35 Tuesday night
Tiredness has hit me tonight. I can't wait to have doors opened up and everyone integrated! Lily is in major kitten moving mode, and I really need to move them into the bathroom now, so they can run around more. I just went downstairs to make them some food , and came back, after less than 10 minutes, to find 4 kittens squealing under the bed, and lily shouting at me. Bless her, she just gets confused when they get mobile at this stage. I think she thinks that if she takes them out, and hides them under the bed, they will cuddle up and go back to sleep, but instead they run around under the bed, she can't see them, and then calls to me to help..............

Now I am back in the room, they are fed, she has them back in her box, and she is happy, but I can't sit here all the time. I think I will take her with me next time I go to make some feed up. It will be good for her to get out of the room. So the weekend, will see the move from here.

Their characters are really starting to show now, and I think I have their colours almost sussed, although you will find they differ quite a lot from the first guess......

I think I have 1, maybe 2, Caramel Tabby girls
1 Caramel, maybe Choc girl
I Choc, maybe Caramel boy. I think the boy is Chocolate, and he no longer has any hint of stripes in his tail.
And the other little girl, is either Choc or Choc Tabby. She is my little Rappy, and is so cuddly.
Earlier I had 3 of them cuddling up to me as I held them in my arms.

09:44 Wednesday morning.
I had it sussed this morning. I woke up, Lil woke up. I scooped her up in my arms and took her downstairs with me, while I made up the kittens breakfast. What a relief, because I knew the kittens would be where I left them when I got back. I also want Lil to start mixing with the others more, ready for her move at the weekend. Carrie was in determined mood to get to the milk mix, so I had to shut her out of the kitchen!

So, it all worked smoothly today. I organised the children to take shifts to sit with Lil and the babies while I sorted out all the other chores and animals. So everyone seemed content ( apart from Carrie, who did not get what she wanted). I was unsure what would happen when I took the boys to school, but, there were 5 in the box on my return, phew, I didn't have to go hunting under the bed.

They are all asleep in the box now, where it is nice and snug for them.

Today's video clip, I took this morning, while they were having breakfast, and in the case of some of them, yelling a lot!!! I think you will hear my running commentary in the background too. It was early in the morning, and I was in quite high spirits and amused, as always, by my little babies. They are on my bed, where I lay a towel. As most of them walk through the food, their little paws leave milky footprints everywhere. It is only their second day with this food being introduced, and they are doing well so far.

I will go and see if the video clip has finished uploading.

Day 22

Monday evening
Phew, when I say that these kittens have woken up, and found their legs, I am not joking.

Today they cam alive!!! When I come into the bedroom, if I have been out, and I walk up to the box, and speak to Lil, they all wake up, and come waddling/running up to me, squeaking their little heads off, and wanting to be made a fuss of!!!' They have just had a mad half hour, where I had to sit in the box, and be climbed over. Lil gets upset if I don't, and they shout at me! But who couldn't cuddle up to such little bundles, especially when they look up to you with those lovely eyes.

Tuesday morning.
Life just got more tiring.......phew, they really have woken up!!! And when they are awake, they want me, they want to escape, they want to be cuddled, ( and that is so very easy). Lily gets worried, so she paces around grumbling to me. If I do not sit in the box, she moves the kittens around, and I find 5 little terrors running around my bedroom, yelling their heads off. So whenever possible, I sit with them when they wake up. I want them to become cuddly babies, so the more I sit with them and cuddle them, the more they should become used to this. ( any excuse, I also sit with them because I love sitting with them!). But because they are now taking so much more of my time, mailing and writing my diaries, is becoming a little less routine, and I have to do it when they are asleep, and the children do not need me, and the 4 adult siamese, bunny and Percy, are not demanding of my time. Ah, yes, I am tired!

I will give you a run down of the past 45 minutes. I had a little doze, as I was tired. As soon as I got up from the bed, Lil woke up, queue, 5 kittens come to life squealing very lively.

Time to move quickly. I dive downstairs, and make up the milk mix that I have started to offer them today. The trouble with this , is that Carrie, Fluffy and Gollum, have not forgotten how much they love it. So they are howling round my feet, while I make it. They are following me back up the stairs, as I try to walk ( difficult with 3 cats running round you feet).

I enter the bedroom, to be greeted with a noisy Lil ( probably telling me off for leaving her in the first place), and 5 very noisy kittens, all looking up at me from their box.

I place a large towel on my bed, and the plate with the milk in it, thank goodness today, Lil is not trying to eat it.

I put all 5 babies on the towel, and they all manage to eat some of the mix, some more than others. I make sure that the 3 smaller ones eat plenty. All this time, Carrie and Gollum are sitting outside my bedroom door, howling.........they want some!!!

That is all done and finished now, Lil has gone back to sleep with the kittens, hopefully until after the school run, where I will go through the whole process again. But at least it is easier, as the boys will be more than happy to cuddle and play with kittens.

Lily has become protective of the babies, to the extent, that she does not want the other 4 near them, this is going to be a problem, because they really need to move out of this room soon. Rich and Tim are around at Scout camp this weekend, so I may take the opportunity to just sit with Lil and kittens, while moving them into the bathroom, and see if I can settle things down. I wont have anything else to do, so it seems a good opportunity.

I am downloading a video clip as I type. I took it last night, while they were looking at a little box that I put into their box. The next one, I will try to take of them attempting to eat.

Day 21

20:17 Sunday Evening
My apologies that I did not write an entry for today. It was Sunday and I was having a little rest.

Things have begun to change here now. The babies have got MOBILE !!! Later, when they wake up again, I will attempt to get some video footage. They are rolling around and playing with one another, and grooming, waddling around the box and becoming more cuddly. Little Rappy is quite a character, and is always waddling out for some fuss. I am so very much hoping that the stripes on her tail develop, as she is defintely Chocolate.

The trouble with the babies becoming mobile, is that Lily does not like it. Lily wants to take them OUT of the box, and put them under the bed...............it really is not very clean under the bed, and I really do not want them there, as I cannot see them. Sooooo, I have set up a vigil of sitting in the box ( as I am now) and then Lil agrees not to keep picking them up. I am not ready to move them into the bathroom yet. To me, they are still too young and I am not ready to part with them at night time. I have become attached to having them in here with me.

Tomorrow, I am going to start to introduce a milky mixture, a couple of times in the day. This is always fun at first, watching them paddle through it all and make a mess. I will let them lick some off my finger at first to get a flavour. It will be nice to give Lily a little rest from all the feeding.

As I sit in the box, and type this, Lily has just jumped out of it, ...........just jumped back in, she is licking the babies and fortunately this time, she has not taken a baby out! But I am not sleeping in the box tonight. Last night she ended up putting them on the bed, so I am looking forward to some company tonight!!!

Hopefully I will get some good video footage tonight and then you can really see how lively they have become!
