On Saturday 5th November, we went to visit Arwen in her home, and took our little Galadriel with us. We all stayed over and had a lovely evening and breakfast ( well Galadriel thought our breakfast was lovely also!!). They were very good girls, the two of them, exept that my little G decided that she was not going to let me sleep and used me as an adventure playground all night!!

On Sunday 10 th July, we all set off to visit 2 of the kittens from Lily’s last litter, Smeagle and Arwen. They were both real little characters when they were kittens, so we were really very, very excited to be going to see them.

We nearly didn’t make it however, and on Saturday night, Philip managed to fill my diesel car up with normal petrol!!!!!! So a BIG thank you to the kind man who turned up early Sunday morning, to take the car away, drain the tank, all in time for us to still make the journey. It was a good 100 mile trip to make, so we needed to set off early.

We visited Smeagle first. He is a lilac boy, and he always had one of the biggest characters of all of the kittens, alongside Arwen. Well, he had not changed, only he was a lot bigger!!! He has a wonderful home, and I am so grateful to his new ‘mum’ for caring for him so well. We spent nearly 2 hours playing with him, cuddling him and taking lots of photos. He really did look very beautiful, and his eyes were still a beautiful colour of blue.

Then we drove onto visit Arwen. Bless her, she is such a pretty little girl now, and was just settling down to sleep as we arrived, but she soon woke up. She too has a wonderful home, a lovely secure little walled courtyard, where she can run about in complete safety. It was so lovely to be able to cuddle her again, and the children were delighted to see her.

I came away feeling very proud of both Arwen and Smeagle, and full of gratitude to their new families, who so obviously love them to bits. I cannot thank them enough for that. Please look at the photos that I have included. Both Arwen and Smeagle are 6 months old now.

Sabre also has some new photos on his website which you can view at:

On Saturday 16 th July, while Tigerlily and Galadriel were at a Cat Show, we went to visit Goldberry ( She now has the enchanting pet name of Miss Binkie). She was our lovely little female Lilac kitten.

We were so looking forward to seeing her, despite the grumbles of Richard and Timothy because I made them walk the 1½ miles in the hot sunshine!! My first thoughts on seeing her, were, “Golly, how she has grown!!”

She left us, a lovely little kitten, who had imposed her will on me from a very young age as to what she would and wouldn't eat, and here she was, transformed into a very beautiful young lady. She was full of energy and playfulness, and the 2 boys really enjoyed the hour that we had with her. I came away thinking how much like her brother, Smeagle, she now looked.

We have seen 3 of the kittens now, and it is so lovely to see them, happy, healthy and thriving, and making their new families so happy. So again, I would like to say a big thank you to the lovely people who are now caring for our kittens.
