The kittens are due any time now, they could be this afternoon, they could be tomorrow evening. But I expect them definately to be with us by Thursday morning. This is a photo of Tigerlily, taken last night.

Tigerlily has just had a routine scan and check up, during which she purred and behaved so well. We know that we have definately 5 kittens, we think probably a 6th. My vet said that they were a good size and had good strong heart beats. So now we just have to wait to see when they arrive next week. I will keep you posted as soon as there are any developments. Now Lily just has to be cosy and rested, with lots of tlc.

Just over a week to go now, the 26th December is coming up fast now, although I suspect they will arrive on 28th, if Lily's body clock is the same as the last litter.

Yesterday she was a bit agitated, she was looking for places to go and hide in. I decided it was therefore time to get her brand new kitten box out. It had been made over the weekend, so I was curious to see what she would make of it. She was not sure at first, but once the heated pads had warmed it up, with the warmth of the radiator behind, she moved in. She seemed much happier once the box was in situ. She is a clever girl, and I am sure she knows exactly what it is there for.

In the 2 photos, Lily is the one at the back, while Lady G was sitting up closer to the camera. And in the other one, Lily is on the left, while Lady G is having a jolly good yawn!!

Lily is getting really quite big now. We have reached the stage where it is not so easy for her to clean herself after toileting, so I have taken on that task when it is needed. It takes me back to when I couldn't put my shoes on when I was pregnant, and the time that I got stuck in the bath!!!

She and Lady G ( Galadriel), spend a lot of their time cuddled up, somewhere in the lounge. At night time they sleep on my bed, but in the day, the become little lounge lizards.Tigerlily still has a HUGE appetite for cod, and every other day, she has some tuna mixed in with it. She also eats the James Wellbeloved dry biscuits. Sometimes it seems that her entire existence at the moment is either on the work surfaces in the kitchen, demanding fish, or asleep somewhere in the lounge.

I took this picture of Tigerlily and Lady G, asleep yesterday. Lily is the one on the right, and as you can see, her tummy has grown!!

These are some photos that were taken of Tigerlily at the weekend. As you can see, she spends a lot of her time at the moment, in the kitchen, taking a keen interest in food! She usually has her fish on the surfaces, as this stops Percy from stealing it!!

You can see in the photos, that her tummy is a little round now. Looking at it, I suspect that there may be slightly less than her last litter. I hope to let her have a scan in about a weeks time, this will give me a much more acurate prediction.

Tigerlily went for a routing check up at the vets this morning, 24/11/05, to give me some indication of the size of the litter she is carrying. My very kind vet told me that she looked really healthy and that she thought she was carrying a good size litter again. She suggested another half a dozen! So I am prepared.

Tigerlily seems quite happy in herself, and has a HUGE appetite at the moment for cod! Her tummy is beginning to grow, and it wont be long now before I can see the movement of the kittens she is carrying. That is so exciting! The kittens are due between 26th December to 28th December.
